  92         output matching Berkeley's gprof.  The biggest differences

  94         before the call graph; numbers come before explanations;
  95         and there is less gratuitous white space.

  97         variable causes discarding of initial underscores when
  98         printing symbol names.  It is set unless there is a "main"
  99         symbol (without an underscore).
