  81         output matching Berkeley's gprof.  The biggest differences

  83         before the call graph; numbers come before explanations;
  84         and there is less gratuitous white space.

  86         variable causes discarding of initial underscores when
  87         printing symbol names.  It is set unless there is a "main"
  88         symbol (without an underscore).
